Sponsored by Rivendell · Season 2027
Ten founders for 2027. We pay for your race, the kit, blood labs, the running + bike fit analysis and daily coaching. We will help you reach your most ambitious PB.
What the 2027 season covers
Up to $2,000 an athlete. It will cover most of your race costs.
One marathon or one Ironman in 2027, entered and paid. You pick the race.
Race kit and workout kit, carbon plated shoes included. Understated, no logo wall.
Four panels through the season, through WHOOP or Oura, whichever you wear. We reimburse them. The results are yours to keep.
A running or bike fit session, early enough in the build that it changes something.
Free access for the season. Training, diet and supplements, adjusted every day to how you are actually recovering.
We introduce the cohort to each other. Ten founders who understand both the long ride and the board meeting.
How we choose
We are looking for people who push really hard. That is the only real criterion. It could be your first marathon. It could be your tenth. We just want to see genuine commitment and effort.
This has nothing to do with buying insurance from us. Your company does not have to be a Rivendell customer. Applications from founders whose companies are not our customers are welcome.
Whether the season goes to plan or falls apart, the sponsorship stands.
Why we are doing this
I started training properly while building Rivendell. A startup is a rollercoaster. Some weeks everything works, some weeks nothing does, and most of it is out of your hands. I needed one thing in my life that was stable. Training was it. The plan says an easy hour, you do an easy hour, and you are a little fitter than yesterday. Nobody can take that away from you.
It also gave me somewhere to prove myself that was not work. When the company is having a bad month, a long ride is still a long ride. It clears your head, because it is hard to think about anything else at threshold pace. And you make friends along the way. Some of the best people I know, I met on a run. We want the same for you, which is why the cohort meets each other and not just us.
